Bruce and Bon Jovi Kick-Off 250th Anniversary
The New Jersey natives will be set to headline a two-night concert event this summer, marking the 250th anniversary of the U.S.A in New Jersey. The concert will be taking place on June 4th and 5th at the OceanFirst Bank Center. From there, Bruce Springsteen will be kicking off his tour to the Land of Hope and Dreams that will be continuing on June 7th.
The event will also have other famous, known faces, such as Kenny Chesney, Mavis Staples, Public Enemy, Jackson Browne, Shemicka Copeland, and others. Additional acts include Keb’ Mo’, Nils Lofgren, Darlene Love, and David Sancious, as well as Tony Trischka and Sister Sadie. The bill is rounded out by Trombone Shorty and the New Breed Brass Band, Stevie Van Zandt, and Jimmie Vaughan. Disciples of Soul will serve as the house band for the event.
The executive director of the Springsteen Center and executive producer of the concerts sees this concert as a reflection of our country’s musical legacy. To bring people together, the rich and diverse treasury of American music as mirror of our natural culture.
